
Tutorial on installing Spida 5 onto a network
Spida 5 is a stand-alone PC software, which is installed onto the local area of the computer hard drive. If you have purchased multiple user licenses of Spida 5 then you can network these together. To run Spida 5 on a network please follow the step-by-step guide on how to do this, below.
Step 1
- Firstly please load up the Spida 5 software
- Click on new (as shown below)

Step 2
- The screen will show a Customisation Wizard to help you select the features from Spida that best suit you the user.
- Once the Customisation Wizard is complete you must create a database for your patients, as shown on the screen below.
- Click on the red tick, as shown below

Step 3
- Now a list of Network drives will be displayed (i.e. C drive)
- Now click on the Network drive where you wish to store your database (shown in blue as transfer below)

Step 4
- Right click in the white space area (shown below as right click here)
- From the list click on New
- From the new list which is displayed, click on folder (as shown below)

Step 5
- In the folder named new folder, type for example Spirometry database (as shown below)
- Then click on open

Step 6
- Now in file name, click the name of your database (shown below as insert name here)
- Once file name is entered, click on Save

You have now successfully setup Spida 5 on your network. If you are using peer to peer network, simply follow the same procedure, but save the database into your shared folder on your Master PC
