How do I upgrade my MicroLab and MicroLoop?

Firstly you will need the MM Upgrade Utility software, which you can download and install from http://www.micromedical.co.uk/update/download.asp. Once this is downloaded, you will need to run the setuputility.exe to install the software.

Step 1

  • Click on Start/Programs/MM Upgrade Utility/Upgrade Utility

Step 2

  • The following screen will be displayed
  • Now click on the button Options

Step 3

  • The Following screen will be displayed after clicking on Options
  • In Select Unit, please select the Spirometer you are using (MicroLab or MicroLoop)
  • In Select serial communications ports, please select the serial port you are using (ie. COM 1)
  • Then press OK

Step 4

  • This will now take you back to the main screen (shown below)
  • Now click on NEXT

Step 5

  • Follow the instructions displayed in the screen below
  • Once the unit has been switched on, click on NEXT

Step 6

  • The screen below will now gather information of your Micro Medical Spirometer.

Step 7

  • Once the information has been obtained from your Spirometer, the below screen will be displayed.
  • Click the History button if you wish to view the history on your Spirometer
  • When ready click on NEXT

Step 8

  • The screen below indicates that your computer will be connecting to the Internet.
  • Click on NEXT

Step 9

  • The screen below will then be displayed showing the connection to the Internet download.

Step 10

  • Once the Internet download is complete, details of new upgrades will be displayed
  • Now tick the box for Languages (shown in screen shot below)
  • Now tick the box for the MicroLoop or MicroLab (shown in screen shot below)
  • Once selected click on NEXT

Step 11

  • The below screen displays the connection to the Micro Medical website and the download of the selected upgrades

Step 12

  • Once the selected upgrades have been downloaded, the base system will be sent to the Spirometer (shown in screen shot below)

Step 13

  • Once the base system is complete it will now download the module files (shown in screen shot below)

Step 14

  • Once the Module files have been downloaded, the upgrade to your Micro Medical Spirometer is complete
  • Click on EXIT to finish. You are now ready to use your upgraded Micro Medical Spirometer.
