Micro Medical attends MEDICA for the 19th time!

Micro Medical is pleased to announce that in partnership with VIASYS Healthcare we will be exhibiting at MEDICA in Düsseldorf for the 19th consecutive year. MEDICA is the No.1 meeting point for manufacturers, distributors and customers involved in all aspects of the medical industry, with over 130,000 visitors from all over the World and 3,600 exhibitors.

As well as the huge exhibition displaying all types of medical equipment and services, there are some 200 seminars, presentations and practical sessions that make this congress a very unique event.

With a larger, newly designed stand and new products on show (see below) the team at Micro Medical/VIASYS Healthcare would like to invite one and all to visit us at Stand A40 in hall 10 between 15th-18th of November 2007.

MicroLoop (new):

Ease of use is key!

Highly portable and beautifully designed, the new generation MicroLoop has been developed for the professional. Employing Micro Medical’s acclaimed precision GOLD STANDARD Digital Volume Transducer (especially suited to measuring very low flow rates in patients with COPD and Asthma) the instrument has a wide angle, high-resolution colour touch-screen.

All the unit’s features can be easily accessed by simply touching the chosen function’s corresponding icon. This, together with fast textual data entry using a stylus makes the MicroLoop highly intuitive to use. The MicroLoop has a desk-top docking station that makes battery charging, connection to a PC, the uploading of data and the printing of results to external printer quick and simple.

Features:
• High definition colour touch-screen
• Fully customisable printout format
• Desktop docking station for battery charging and PC / Printer   connection
• Unique contextual Help Screens (language selectable) with   dedicated Help Button
• 41 inspiratory and expiratory indices measurable
• On-screen graphical child incentive device
• Large 2000+ patient test memory
• Optional Spida 5 or SpidaXpert PC software

MicroRMA

(Respiratory Muscle Analyser)

Unique Endurance and Strength Analysis of the Respiratory Muscular System

Micro Medical Ltd introducing the MicroRMA (Respiratory Muscle Analyser), a patient friendly, handheld device enabling the quick and efficient examination of both the Endurance and Strength of the respiratory muscles;

The driving force behind the ability to breathe!

The MicroRMA is designed to quantify the endurance of the respiratory muscles alone, concentrating solely on the patients’ ability to breathe. The patented variable aperture allows unprecedented access to Constant Resistance, which works with the patient in a natural and responsive manner. The MicroRMA is simply connected to a PC or laptop, by USB, to provide healthcare professionals with an essential breakthrough in the fields of respiratory assessment and pulmonary rehabilitation, where the relationship between the COPD patient and their ability to breath is of critical importance.

• Respiratory Endurance Analysis at Constant Resistance
• Respiratory Strength Analysis at User Defined Lung Volumes

Pulse Trace PCA 2

Cardiovascular monitoring at your fingertip

The next generation PCA 2 represents a truly portable solution for estimating large artery stiffness. Designed for use in clinical practice to aid early detection, treatment, and management of hypertension, coronary arterial disease, target organ damage and endothelial dysfunction. All achieved non-invasively with the aid of a finger probe which measures the Digital (finger) Volume Pulse waveform using high fidelity photo-plethysmography. With close correlation to Gold Standard measurement of Pulse Wave Velocity, waveforms generated by the PCA 2 enable instant calculation of the stiffness index.

As with the new MicroLab, all the units’ features can be easily accessed by touching the chosen functions icon, initiating for example, a new 3 test protocol or simply opting for a single spot check, and all completed within minutes.

A quiet and very fast printer with easy-load paper mechanism is integrated. Again, this device can be linked to an external printer and can also be operated by an optional MicroMouse or the supplied stylus.

Features

• Validated parameters
• Accurate and noise free Digital (finger) Volume Pulse waveform analysis
• Spot-check and automated x3 test protocol operating modes
• Non-operator dependant and fast
• High fidelity touch/colour display and hi-res printer
• PC Upload software to analyse data and export to other programmes
