Micro Medical Ltd is pleased to announce our support for the TeamEverest expedition which aims to conduct medical research at altitude, whilst raising important funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
TeamEverest are based at the Royal Free and University Medical School, part of University College London, and the expedition will be one of the largest field studies to investigate the effects of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) across a variety of physiological systems. Micro Medical Ltd will be providing our
MicroLoop and
MicroRPM (Respiratory Pressure Meter) devices to the expedition, which takes place during August 2007, to measure the physiological changes related to spirometry and respiratory muscle strength, at altitude.
The expedition has won support and praise from many sources for its medical and charitable focus, including Sir Chris Bonnington CBE, and with a target of £100,000 it is possible to get involved yourself through the Just Giving website:

We would like to wish all participants of the TeamEverest expedition the very best of luck and we look forward to posting more news about the expedition upon their return.
